Character Classes

Choose wisely - your party composition is crucial to success.

Fighter

The primary damage dealer. High physical attack and defense, able to equip the best weapons and armor.

Role: Physical DPS

Strength: Highest attack power

Weakness: No magic abilities

Thief

Fast and agile fighter. Lower defense but higher evasion and speed for multiple attacks per turn.

Role: Fast Physical DPS

Strength: Multiple quick attacks

Weakness: Fragile

White Mage

The healer and support specialist. Can cast protective spells and restore HP to the entire party.

Role: Support/Healing

Strength: Essential healing and buffs

Weakness: Low physical damage

Black Mage

The damage mage. Specializes in offensive spells to exploit enemy weaknesses and deal massive damage.

Role: Offensive Magic

Strength: High damage spells

Weakness: Very fragile

Red Mage

Balanced hybrid. Can use both offensive and healing magic with moderate physical capability.

Role: Hybrid/Versatile

Strength: Flexibility

Weakness: Master of none

Monk

Martial artist with high defense. Physical fighter who specializes in hand-to-hand combat.

Role: Defensive Physical DPS

Strength: High defense and evasion

Weakness: Lower attack power

Recommended Party Compositions

Balanced Party (Recommended for First-Timers)

Fighter, Thief, White Mage, Black Mage

Good mix of offense, defense, and magic coverage.

Offense-Focused Party

Fighter, Thief, Black Mage, Red Mage

Maximum damage output with some healing capability.

Defensive Party

Fighter, Monk, White Mage, Red Mage

Excellent survivability with balanced damage.

Key Classes

Every party MUST have a White Mage for healing. The other three slots can be customized based on your preference and challenge level.

Class Change Tips

  • • You can change your party composition at any inn or save point
  • • Class changes reset your character's stats but keep their equipment
  • • Consider changing classes strategically for specific boss battles
  • • Balance your party - having only one healing source is risky
