Western Keep has 3 treasure chests, all locked behind doors requiring the Mystic Key. Every chest in this dungeon contains monsters -- be ready to fight when you open them. Visit during your Elfheim chapter Mystic Key sweep.

Notes
Power Staff (ATK 12) is a caster weapon equippable by Black Mage, White Mage, Red Mage, and Ninja -- a free upgrade over the basic Staff. Falchion (ATK 15) is a decent Warrior/Knight/Ninja/Red Mage sword for the Elfheim era. Steel Gloves (DEF 4) go on Warrior/Knight/Ninja -- not exciting but free. The monster-in-chest encounters here aren't dangerous at this point in the game. Open all three, take the fight, grab the loot.
