Cornelia Castle Chests
Cornelia Castle has 6 treasure chests, all locked behind doors that require the Mystic Key. You pass through this castle at the very start of the game, but you can't open any of these rooms until you get the Mystic Key during the Elfheim chapter. Come back as soon as you have it. Important: The Nitro Powder in the left locked room is a key item required for story progress. You cannot blow up the passage to Melmond without it.
All 6 Chests
| Item | Location | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Iron Armor | 1F -- Left locked room, left chest | Strong early armor for Warrior/Knight |
| Tent | 1F -- Left locked room, middle chest | Restores HP/MP outside battle |
| Nitro Powder | 1F -- Left locked room, right chest | Key item -- required for story |
| Cottage | 1F -- Right locked room, left chest | Full restore outside battle |
| Saber | 1F -- Right locked room, middle chest | ATK 13 sword, decent early weapon |
| Mythril Knife | 1F -- Right locked room, right chest | ATK 10 knife, equippable by most classes |
Notes
The Iron Armor (DEF 24) is the biggest prize here -- it's a substantial upgrade for Warrior/Knight/Ninja and available well before Pravoka's shop stock becomes relevant. Grab it immediately on your Mystic Key sweep. The Tent and Cottage are pure value. Save them for dungeon runs rather than using them at a campsite you could just walk to. Saber and Mythril Knife are fine backup weapons but nothing you'll equip over what you've likely already purchased by the time you return here.
